Our Charter 

The Island University is founded as an internationally focused Open University Institution to contribute to the emerging cross-border education practices and systems.

The University is a private higher education initiative established to add value to living standards of humanity in all the nations of the world without any form of discrimination.

The strategy is to proclaim its Charter and gain Legal status in a number of jurisdictions of the world in line with the international focus of the institution.

In 2004, the University applied for its first Legal recognition from the Republic of Panama in Central America.

After due diligence and scrutiny, the Charter document was protocolised and documented in accordance with Law No. 25 of June 12, 1995 of the Republic of Panama.

The legal authority of the university is contained in the Republic of Panama Public Document No. 953 of January 20, 2005.

In similar vein, the Island University gained its incorporated legal status in Belize in May, 2006.
